Extremely well kept, boasting a modern interior, up-to-date electronics, sails, galley equipment and toys, MyStar returned to the Mediterranean in 2022 following 3 years of successful sailing in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Showcasing superb Italian craftsmanship, beautiful internal design with a sophisticated and modern feel, MyStar has been expertly maintained with love by her current owners through a full rebuild and numerous refits, extending to all technical and engineering systems as well as full interior redesign. The yacht is in full turnkey condition, having finished a 5-year Survey in 2017, a technical and cosmetic upgrade in 2018, and a full technical refit in 2019, as Sea Alliance announces.

Around the world with MyStar

Over the course of nearly four years, owners Maya and Liran Talit and their family planned and travelled halfway around the world on their 35.1-metre yacht MyStar, from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, the US to the Galápagos, across the South Pacific and finally back across the Pacific and up to Alaska.

Before purchasing, the couple debated between power and sail as they liked the luxury of a motor yacht but also wanted the far-reaching range of a sailing boat and they found the perfect match in MyStar. As Maya recounts, “When we found MyStar, she was a combination of both. As soon as we saw her for the first time in Saint-Tropez, we fell in love instantly,” adding how: “You walk in and it’s all light with 360-degree panoramic views from the wraparound saloon windows. You have a view of everything in front of you and it draws you in.” But what really drew them to MyStar was her seaworthiness and spaciousness: “We thought, this is a boat that could sail us anywhere – she’s strong and had a good track record for sailing while also being comfortable and elegant,” Maya says.

So, in 2019, they started their journey in the Mediterranean, then sailed down the Baja Peninsula and up into the Sea of Cortez in Mexico. From there, they headed further into nature-rich lands, visiting the Cocos Island and the Galápagos. However, in 2020, their trip paused, along with the rest of the world, when Covid-19 hit. The yacht had just arrived in French Polynesia and after a six-week quarantining in a rental house on land for the family, they were allowed free travel within the country, so they visited Bora Bora, Tahiti, Mo’orea and the Tuamotu Island group, where they dived with the sharks at the Fakarava Atoll.

The last stop before the family returned to shore in the summer of 2022 was Alaska, where MyStar sailed up to Glacier Bay before its return to the Mediterranean.
